
911爆料网 (RCBC) will host its annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Community Event on Saturday, June 7, from 11 am to 3 pm at the college鈥檚 Health Sciences Center at 1000 Briggs Road in Mount Laurel.
Whether you鈥檙e considering a healthcare career, want to learn to stay healthy and safe, or are simply looking for a fun way to spend the day, this EMS event offers many free, exciting, and informative opportunities for the whole family.
鈥911爆料网 is proud to host this event and celebrate the heroic work that paramedics and EMTs do in our communities every day to keep us safe and healthy,鈥 said RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce. 鈥淎s home to the region鈥檚 premier training program for paramedic science, 911爆料网 welcomes the community to join us in championing these critical first responders.鈥
The day of discovery, safety, and fun features helicopter flyovers and the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles and equipment. The community can also receive free health screenings, including blood pressure and vital sign checks by RCBC鈥檚 health sciences students, child car seat safety checks, a vehicle extrication demo, and an interactive simulation lab showcasing RCBC鈥檚 EMS programs for attendees interested in the college.
鈥淭his event brings our community and its heroes together in a fun, educational environment,鈥 said RCBC Assistant Director of Paramedic Science Steve Reustle. 鈥淔rom learning how to save lives to enjoying great food and entertainment, there鈥檚 truly something here for everyone.鈥
Free continuing education classes sponsored by Cooper University Healthcare will be offered throughout the day in the Health Sciences building, exclusively for first responders. One class of the day, 鈥楽top the Bleed,鈥 is open to all community members as part of a national campaign to encourage bystanders to help control life-threatening bleeding in an emergency while professional help arrives.
Attendees can also enjoy free giveaways throughout the day and a variety of food trucks.
